Happy New Year 2008

Well, in a one day, we will start a new year. A very happy and excellent Year to all. How you will start your new year? Me? By having a driving test. It is weird right? But I am more scared than feeling weird. I hope I will able to start a new year with an excellent start by passing the test. Have you done a revision of the achievements that you get in 2007? Is it a good year for you? For me, 2007 start bad, in fact really bad, starting with the biggest and historical flood happen in my district (picture)and my state of Johor and the pain of unable to get a job even though I have applied more than hundreds of work and been to a lot of interviews. Then starting June, things start to get better for me. Get my first job as a substitute teacher for two months, then three months at bank call centre and then working and learning through internet in blogging and internet marketing. Well, the truth, it wasn’t easy road, but I enjoy every second of it. Then on this month, I also get ...

Debt, it’s really sickening……

I pursue my degree with education loan, and today I received a reminder that I need to pay it and what I do not understand is how the interest is calculated. And it become more funny when there is monthly administrative charge been imposed every month. So isn’t the total will be like more, I mean terribly high? But again, how can bank and all the financial institutions survive without interest and the so call administrative charge? But is it had to be really high? I once worked at bank call centre, and I had many conversations with customers about the card credit problems and it wasn’t pretty at all. But who can resist the temptation of having card credit and can buy what you like online and offline easily. But then at later date it will bring trouble. Right now I do not have credit card, only debit card, but my brother said, credit card is needed especially on emergency times. Is it true? There is a malay proverb, prepare the umbrella before it’s raining. But how can I? in m...

Flooding of information

Many information is good, but too many information, is not necessarily good also. Have you been flooded with so many info that make you confuse? Apparently that is what I am going through right now. Is that a problem when you do not know what you do and you just accept whatever come in your way? I think it is good that I accept everything that come my way, ( being flexible, like in job interview, if you apply for a job, and then the interviewer asked, can you do other task if we ask you to? Of course the interviewee say yes, and it called as adaptability) but until recently I realized, there are so many things I read, but so little stuff I do with the info. Many are good, like more money is better than little money. But more money will become problem if you misused the money, compare to those who little money, because they know they have less money, so they careful planning with that money instead of saying . “that’s ok, I have a lot of money, I can do whatever I want to do”. The l...

Motivation, why we need it?

From Steven Grabek Motivation means that which motivates, that which makes us take action towards our desired goals and which gives purpose and direction to those actions. Now we all know that very often we lose our motivation and we allow procrastination to dominate our life. Without our motivation we stop taking action and doing the things we really want to do, we stop achieving the things we really want to achieve and we stop believing we are capable of becoming who ever we want to be. The secret to beating procrastination is that we need to keep motivated. Every day we must do something, anything that gets us motivated, whether it’s listening to your favourite song, going for that morning run or simply reading some quotes. Every day we must motivate ourselves because when we are motivated we have energy, we have ideas and we have dreams and we pursue those dreams with our unbounded faith that we will achieve them and more. For me, motivation helped ...

Money and motivation

Is it related? For me, yes, but not entirely true. That’s depend on personality, conditions, age, responsibility, and other factors as well. See this · Taylor ’s scientific management (1911) Workers are motivated mainly by money Suggested piece-rate system · Maslow’s theory (1943) People are motivated by hierarchy of needs, which includes money · Herzberg (1959) Money either dissatisfies or is neutral in its effect But from this blog ~ Money does not create motivation. But it can produce movement. ~ Money and motivation are not linked. If people don’t like the work they do there must be a reason. They may be doing it because they don’t have a choice; because they have to food on their table. ~ The reality is that most people work because they need to feed their family and pay the rent and one has to respect that. Loving your work, finding purpose in what you do, is a real privilege. One cannot role do...

Journey Of life

In my quest for online earning, I found out it wasn’t easy. But, I felt lucky that I was introduced to this kind of earning from my friend. I went through to a lot of blogs and read many stories of their experiences about money and debt. It is truth, nothing is easy unless you work hard and put your mind to it. I want to do this (online earning ) because I tired going to interview and do not get anything at all. And when I get my first real job, I realized I do not want to do that for all my life. Getting told what to do all the time and become bad when your co-workers two timing two faces and sort of many things. Moreover, I do not want to spend more than I earn but that what happen when I was working. Not enough money. In my quest I found out that I really need to know how interest and calculating your debt is very important knowledge for me to know. I cannot hate math. Online business also the same like offline business, you need to invest. Well, I think I have invest more than RM 3...
